    Nibbles – 16hh Warmblood Gelding

    Nibbles is a well-schooled Warmblood gelding who has successfully competed up to Level 4 Dressage. He is an exceptional horse for riders wanting to rebuild their confidence, return to the saddle, or further develop their skills before purchasing their own horse.

    While not suited to complete beginners, Nibbles is a safe and reliable partner who provides riders with valuable opportunities to learn and grow. He is the ideal horse for understanding dressage movements, refining the correct aids, and experiencing how seat and position influence a horse’s way of going.

    In addition to his dressage education, Nibbles offers engaging pole work sessions that help riders improve straightness, balance, and rhythm. Although he is most often ridden by returning adult riders, he is also a wonderful teacher for teenagers, giving them an excellent foundation for learning how to ride and progress with confidence.

    Nibbles Lessons are highly sought after and as he only offers 6 lessons a week there is sometimes a wait list, so please enquire within for his availability before booking online using the booking system.

Pony Camps 

Fun Camps: Every school holidays Maungatua Equestrian hosts a fun camp for 7+ year olds, ranging in all abilities of riding and horsemanship. Camps are are a great way for kids to socialise in a safe environment while growing lasting friendships, as well as pushing themselves to go further in their riding abilities and grow their confidence.

We do a range of activities from hacking out, obstacles courses as well as trot poles and jumping courses as well as doing basic horsemanship.

You must have your own pony or horse for these camps

Bootcamp Camps: Every so often, I run a boot camp style camp for children/ teenagers that are becoming more competitive and want to succeed in the dressage or jumping arenas and start to “specialize” in their chosen disciplines. These are not overnight but run as individual/semi private lessons where you get two lessons a day- One 45 minute private lesson and One 45 minute semi private lesson, we also go over what we need to take when we go competing and how to feed our horses and ponies while we are away from home. These camps are limited to 6 children/teenagers only and are $350
